With the ERGO RT, we are using for the first time a new, technically and aesthetically innovative principle for handlebar risers for the BMW R 1300 RT. It is compatible with both the forged and the tubular handlebars.

Exclusive: The new Wunderlich handlebar riser for Telelever models

• New, innovative design principle: Unlike conventional solutions where the riser is part of the tubular handlebar clamp, this handlebar riser is based on an independent concept protected by a utility model from Wunderlich
• The aim was a harmoniously integrated and technically elegant solution that blends seamlessly into the cockpit of Telelever BMWs
• The handlebar bridge features two precisely defined mounting points:
  • at the top of the steering head, and
  • further forward on a flexform bracket connected to the Telelever suspension
• This is where we insert two precisely machined columns made of high-strength aluminium
• Each column measures 25 millimetres and raises the handlebar bridge by exactly 25 millimetres

The riser is unobtrusive in design, technically well thought-out, and aesthetically perfectly integrated.

Note

When used in combination with the tubular handlebar of the R 1300 RT, the full range of handlebar tilt adjustment is retained. This allows the seating position to be perfectly tailored to individual needs and significantly improved.

ERGO RT: Enhanced ergonomics for tangible comfort, relaxed and fatigue-free riding

The handlebar riser is compatible with both forged and tubular handlebars. Unlike conventional riser bridges, where the riser becomes part of the tubular handlebar clamp, the ERGO RT is based on a completely new, utility-model-protected design. Our aim was to create a technically sophisticated and aesthetically integrated solution – one that appears discreet, almost hidden.

Specifically designed for RT riders, this handlebar riser is compatible with the original forged and tubular handlebars. It raises the handlebar by 25 millimetres – an ideal height for touring. The ergonomic benefits are substantial, providing relaxation for the entire back and arms while relieving the spine, pelvis and coccyx. This significantly increases long-distance comfort and noticeably reduces fatigue. Overall, it promotes a relaxed, intuitive riding style that enhances active safety – also due to the improved visibility resulting from the more upright seating position.
