With the ERGO GS, we are introducing a technically and aesthetically innovative approach to handlebar risers for the BMW R 1300 GS. It is compatible with both the original GS tubular handlebar and BMW’s comfort handlebar.

Exclusive: The new Wunderlich handlebar riser for Telelever models

• Innovative new construction concept: Unlike conventional solutions where the riser is part of the tubular bar clamp, this handlebar riser is based on an independent design, legally protected by Wunderlich
• The goal was a technically elegant and visually integrated riser that discreetly blends into the overall cockpit of Telelever BMWs
• The handlebar bridge features two precisely defined mounting points:
  • One at the upper end of the steering head
  • One further forward, on a flex form plate connected to the Telelever suspension
• Here, we insert two precision-manufactured columns made from high-strength aluminium
• Each column measures 25 mm and raises the handlebar bridge by exactly 25 mm

The riser is technically refined, visually subtle and seamlessly integrated into the cockpit.

ERGO GS: Optimised ergonomics for increased comfort, relaxed posture and fatigue-free riding

This handlebar riser is compatible with both the original GS tubular handlebar and BMW’s comfort handlebar. Unlike conventional risers integrated into the bar clamps, the ERGO GS follows an innovative approach, now protected under design law. Our goal was a technically refined, subtly integrated solution that blends discreetly into the cockpit.

Developed specifically by our engineers for GS riders, the riser raises the handlebar by 25 mm. The ergonomic effects are significant: it relaxes the back and arms, and relieves strain on the spine, pelvis, and tailbone. This drastically improves long-distance comfort and noticeably reduces rider fatigue. Overall, it encourages a more intuitive and relaxed riding style that enhances active riding safety – not least thanks to the improved road visibility from a more upright seating position.

*The inspections by the Technical Service have been successfully completed. The administrative process for issuing the ABE is expected to be finalised shortly. We will send you the ABE automatically once available.
