This engine protection bar offers the perfect compromise between maximum protection and optimised weight

With this Wunderlich engine protection bar, the perfect compromise between maximum protection and low weight was the focus of development. Its compact component geometry reliably protects not only the engine, but also indirectly the water pump, clutch and alternator as well as their housing covers, without impairing ground clearance or lean angle clearance. The two-part engine protection bar fits closely to the bike and gains additional stability and rigidity through its specific structure - while at the same time offering optimised component weight. The bars for the right and left sides are each securely bolted to two selected existing mounting points. In the event of a fall or tip-over, the forces acting on the bike are optimally distributed via the protection bar structure to the load-bearing mounting points, preventing force and torque peaks and effectively reducing material stress. In combination with the tank protection bar (#40612-002), it forms a comprehensive, proven all-round protection concept, increases passive safety and contributes to riding enjoyment.

The engine protection bar structure is made from a combination of 25 mm and 22 mm precision steel tubing. The tube segments are formed on CNC tube bending machines and then cleanly welded. Visually, the protection bar integrates into the motorcycle’s design, blends into its distinctive appearance and underlines the adventure look in a high-quality way.
