Processing in the autoclave – a high-pressure oven – ensures perfect, even curing and a flawless surface. This method prevents air inclusions and ensures consistently high quality.

The carbon components are carefully laminated by hand, ensuring consistent fibre alignment without distortion. After curing in the autoclave, the edges are precisely cut by robot to ensure a perfect fit and the highest level of quality.

Unique polymer powder coating

A globally unique step in Ilmberger’s production is the complete polymer powder coating of all carbon parts. This coating not only protects the parts from environmental influences, but also gives them a striking depth effect. This sealing method prevents ageing of the parts and significantly extends their lifespan.

The final high-gloss clear coat creates a flawless, smooth surface that enhances the luxurious and sporty look of the carbon components. Every part that leaves production is a masterpiece of engineering and design that meets the highest standards.
