Ilmberger carbon components – quality and innovation

Ilmberger stands for the highest quality and innovation in carbon manufacturing. Each component is produced in-house, using carbon fabric specially developed for Ilmberger as the base material. This fabric is processed in an elaborate autoclave procedure, which offers numerous advantages.

Innovative material: Black Diamond Carbon

The component is made from the innovative BDC material, which gives each part a unique, marble-like appearance. This material is laminated by hand and cured in several stages in the autoclave. The different fibres disperse the incident light and create a previously unseen reflective effect. The final clear coat is finished in a timeless high-gloss version, underlining the luxurious sporty look of the component.

Hand craftsmanship and precision

The carbon components are laminated by hand with great experience and care, ensuring consistent fibre alignment without distortion. After curing in the autoclave, the edges of the components are precisely cut by robot to guarantee a perfect fit and the highest quality.

Unique protective coating

To protect the high-quality material from environmental influences, Ilmberger uses a specially developed plastic coating. In combination with the clear coat, this creates a unique depth effect that particularly highlights the quality of the material.
